The F40 was released in 1987 as Ferrari's 40th anniversary car. The F40 was the fastest car in the world at the time, and was the last car that founder Enzo Ferrari was involved in, so it became very popular. A total of 1,311 cars were produced, far exceeding the initial plan, and it was extremely well-known in Japan at the time. Since the F40, Ferrari has released high-end models as Speciale, but the original F40 is particularly popular.
